Google Launches ‘Search Live’ Real-Time AI Voice Search

Google’s AI Mode Labs effort involves implementing voice-activated Search Live.
You can now receive site links in real-time while conversing with Search in a natural, conversational manner.
It is currently accessible to U.S. users and was first shown on Google I/O.
How the Search Live Voice Works
To use the function, launch the Google app on your iOS or Android device.
As seen below, tap the new “Live” symbol beneath the search box.

Once you begin, you can ask questions aloud and receive audio answers produced by AI. According to Google, it utilizes a customized version of Gemini that features advanced voice capabilities.
Because the system keeps track of your previous conversations, you can easily ask follow-up questions. For example, you could inquire about how to keep linen garments from wrinkling when being packed. You might then inquire as to what to do if wrinkles continue to appear.

Important Features and Capabilities
You can switch between apps and still use Search Live. As you use your phone for other purposes, such as checking your email or social media, your chats continue.
You can view text copies of the audio responses by selecting the “transcript” option. This suggests that during a single conversation, you can alternate between speaking and typing.
The function also saves your communication history. You can use your AI Mode history to return to earlier Search Live sessions.
Alongside voice responses, web links appear on your screen. If you wish to explore further, this provides you with easy access to the original content.
Technology and Application
The company’s current search systems are expanded upon by Google’s unique Gemini concept for Search Live.
The arrangement looks for a variety of web content using what Google refers to as a “query fan-out technique.” During your search sessions, this attempts to provide you with a variety of sources and perspectives.
In the upcoming months, Google intends to expand Search Live’s functionality. For in-the-moment visual searches, this also incorporates camera integration.
At I/O, a visual search was also presented. It would let you discuss nearby items, places, or circumstances while displaying to Search what you’re seeing.
Why This Important
Search engine usage may change significantly as a result of voice-driven conversational search.
Due to Google’s ongoing emphasis on natural language inquiries, optimization requires more than just keyword targeting.
AI voice answers are still used to display web URLs. Marketers ought to give it a go and think about how their information comes across in conversational settings. As people investigate subjects through natural discourse and ask follow-up questions, this becomes increasingly important.
This shift may also impact our understanding of search intent. Compared to standard typed searches, conversational queries frequently reveal more specific needs.
