Google Fiber Construction in Tempe Officially Starts

Phoenix: Tempe will soon be the fourth Valley city to have high-speed internet service provided by Google Fiber. Google Fiber Construction in Tempe Officially Starts.
With speeds for uploading and downloading ranging from 1 to 8 gigabits per second, the service, also known as GFiber, will be accessible to homes and businesses with a variety of options. The most affordable package costs $70 a month.
“Google Fiber Construction in Tempe is an excellent fit for Tempe, and I am happy with the work that has been undertaken to bring it to our community,” said Tempe Councilmember Randy Keating in a press statement. Since 2017, Keating has worked to bring Google Fiber to the city.

The service, which employs lasers to send data through glass strands at speeds that are nearly equal to the speed of light, is already under construction.
“Everywhere in our town, high-speed internet access assures equal access to opportunities for everyone,” said Tempe Council Member Berdetta Hodge in a statement.
Google Fiber will make technology more accessible to more people. I can see how it will benefit everyone, including our elderly and students. I’m thrilled to see Google Fiber Construction in Tempe in our neighborhood.
Earlier last month, Google announced that it had started construction on its high-speed internet connection in Queen Creek.
Tempe Councilmember Randy Keating said in a press statement, “I am proud of the work that has been accomplished to bring it to our community, and Google Fiber Construction in Tempe is a perfect match for Tempe.” Keating has been pursuing the city’s Google Fiber rollout since 2017.
On the business website, potential clients can register for the service and get updates as they happen.
